A Grip and Lighting package built by a DP, for a DP!

DC Grip & Lighting was born from the simple desire to travel light and hire local.

DC Grip and Lighting provides production support all over the Washington DC area and we're loaded with some of the best gear in the business. However, we're not your traditional G&E warehouse. We are an owner operator team that rents out our 2 ton lighting and gear package. Our Sprinter Van is the perfect tool for a DP or small production crew looking for a one stop shop.

The concept was born out of a personal need as a traveling DP, to create a one-stop shop, geared for magazine work.

Our grip and lighting package works very well for multi-cam shoots, Politicals, Advertising, Corporate, and Broadcast clients.

This gear is owner operator equipment that has been well maintained, because this is our own gear!

We're located right off of the beltway in MD near exit 41 and offer easy access to DC, MD and Virgina.

(2) 600d's, (4) Intellytech tech cloth 2.0 1x3 LED Softboxes, (1) 3x5 Intellytech Megalith 2.0, (2) Fiilex LEDs, (2) Aputure LS 60Ds, all ride on the truck and there's plenty of space for grip carts, camera carts, and a 3000w generator too.

Have a look at our gear list. We have an experienced team of gaffers and grips within our DC community.

Let us help you with your DC production.

***This truck is rented with one of our gaffers or grips and will not be sent out alone***

About Us

DC Grip and Lighting

RFP Media Logo (flattened).png

DC Grip and Lighting is owned by Emmy award winning Director of Photography, Rob Fortunato.

Rob is based in the Washington DC area and has built this lighting van from his years of experience and his desire to travel into a location with minimal equipment and hire local G&E teams, geared for their specific market.

This van is exactly what he uses in the field for his own work.

We offer our 2 ton 2500 Sprinter crew loaded with support and lighting to suit most projects.

We can tailor the kit to fit your needs, but the van rolls out pretty well stocked for interviews, commercials and documentaries. It's truly made with the DP in mind who's coming to town for a shoot and wants to travel light.

If you have a major production, with a big crew, that's probably best served by a traditional G&E house.

Please click on our gear link to see what comes with the van.
